YBR, Inc. was started out of frustration in 2002. After working for multiple companies and seeing dissatisfied customers and consultants, I decided to start my own company. Over many years of observing, I consistently saw consultants who are ill prepared and who lack experience being thrust into projects and delivering sub standard deliverables. Voicing my opinion of these practices only labeled me as a trouble maker. So I started my own company so I can be honest with myself and my clients and I only have to answer to myself and my client.

YBR, Inc’s policy is simple. We are honest about our experience and skills. We will provide a service to you or your company ONLY if we have the proper experience/skills or if you as the client are completely informed of our lack of experience and you still wish for us to participate.

Since starting YBR, Inc. the company has been 100 percent allocated. All of the work has been via word of mouth references from former colleagues and clients.

The company name came from my first magazine article I wrote back in 1996 for ODTUG Technical Magazine. In that article I utilized characters from the Wizard of Oz and made references to the Yellow Brick Road. My co-workers, at the time, gave me an EXTREMELY hard time about this usage. I jokingly said someday I will start a company and YBR will be the name. So here it is.

Our company motto is: Deliver quality products and/or services at a reasonable price while being honest with our clients while having fun.  

How are we different than all the other consulting companies? We are small intentionally. We do not hire anyone unless we have personal experience working with the person and know the consultant’s work ethic and interpersonal skills. How a person treats others is just as important as technical skills.
